All art can be gifted and so this section may look repetitive. However, the classification of art into various types based on the material and medium employed, will help you narrow your search for art that appeals to you the most. In many custom artworks, I add an element of personalization, which instantly increases it appeal to the recipient. After all, who does not like to see their name on something they own? It’s a gift meant just for them and there is no uncertainty about it.

Check the categories below and within each are a set of items and customizations you can choose from. If you prefer a customization that is unique to you, feel free to reach out to discuss if it can be made to your liking.

Glass and Metal Engraving

Engraving items made of glass and metal requires a steady hand and well-honed handlettering or calligraphy skills. The success of the engraving process is reliant on the quality of the material used….the better the quality the neater the engraving. A lot of household items can be engraved and in some cases gold, silver and other metallic inlays can also be added.

Leather Heat Foiling

Heat foiling is a fabulous option to personalize any smooth leather and faux leather article. It is a quick and elegant personalization option with a few metallic foiling colour options to choose from. It is also a permanent in that it does not fade or wash off.

Woodburning

Woodburning is an excellent way to personalize all manner of wooden items, particularly pine and drift wood ones. Against the light grain of wood, the dark strokes of poker stand out in contrast, needing no inlay or paint. To ensure that designs are neat, the wood may need to be sanded and made smooth before being burned.
